Glucose Test

I went in yesterday morning for my glucose test. This test is to see if I have developed gestational diabetes. I've never drank something so gross. The drink they give you for this test is like orange kool-aid with 5 cups of sugar. You have 5 minutes to get the cup of juice down and then you have to wait an hour and then have your blood drawn. It was the longest hour ever having to sit in the doctor's office. Then when I had the blood drawn, the lab tech was horrible. She might as well jabbed me with the needle. When she pulled the needle out she pulled it out so fast she scratched my arm! Lucky for me, it should be my last lab work I will have to have done at the office.

They told me I should have the results by Friday. If I don't hear anything, then the results came back fine and I will discuss them with the doctor next Thursday. If something is wrong, they will call me and have me come back for a 3 hour test (which I will give an update on if that is the case). I think everything will come back just fine though. So another pregnancy test down and 12 more weeks to go!
